This workshop focused on the intersections of gender, sexuality, and the fields of International Criminal Law (ICL) and International Refugee Law (IRL). The event brought together early career researchers, practitioners, and advocates to explore critical topics and foster interdisciplinary collaboration.

We were honored to welcome Sareta Ashraph, Senior Legal Adviser at the Center for Justice and Accountability and faculty member at the Geneva Academy, as our keynote speaker.
Workshop Focus
The workshop explored:
Gender and sexuality within ICL and IRL, including emerging jurisprudence and limitations of current frameworks.
Intersectionality as a tool to examine layers of discrimination based on gender, sexuality, race, class, and religion.
The interactions between ICL and IRL, including how these fields influence one another.
Methodologies, analytical frameworks, and philosophical approaches relevant to these topics.
